8-10mm Lauscha lampwork rods. Also known as Vanilla Snowflake, and as kryolith und silber by the factory.
This glass is reactive. A slight reducing flame causes the bead to have a wonderful warm striated effect. If it is fumed or wrapped in silver foil you get caramel, again with striations.
Tip: do not encase. Wrap it onto the mandrel in a soft reducing flame to get the marbled effect - reducing afterwards hasn't done much for me. Putting it back into an oxygenated flame will make it go white again.
Average weight per rod: 63g.
